Yes Chef🧑🍳: Air fryer chocolate chip cookies 🍪
Hi everyone😀Today I will be sharing a recipe on chocolate chip cookies. This recipe is actually from a Youtube channel called "Nino's home". However, I do not own a oven😖, so the air fryer will do👍. Whether you are making it for a friend, a faen (lover in thai), or just for yourself, I can guarantee you that these will be a hit 👊

SERVING SIZE💂: about 40 to 50 bite-sized cookies
SUITABILITY😋: if you are looking for a fam*us am*s dupe, also its not sickeningly sweet as well
TOOLS🍴: whisk, spatula, bowl, cooling rack, measuring scale, sieve, air fryer (i use Philips 4.1L essential air fryer)INGREDIENTS(with pictures of what brands i use)🍠:
120g unsalted butter (anchor) |
50g sugar (SIS) |
60g dark brown sugar (fair price brand) |
1 tsp vanilla extract/essence (bake king) |
1 egg |
150g all purpose flour (prim flour) |
1/2 tsp baking soda (bake king) |
100g chocolate chips (hershey's) |
50g dark chocolate(i prefer to use dark chocolate chips from bakeway) |
STEPS💪:
- Whip butter and the sugars together until you feel that the mixture is well combined
- Leave the butter out at room temperature until it is soft enough to be whipped with a whisk
- Add in vanilla extract and egg, then continue to whisk it until it reaches a pale brown colour
- Sieve the flour and baking soda into the mixture and use a spatula to mix
- I recommend adding the flour bit by bit to ensure that the mixture is mixed well and there is no uncombined flour in the cookies
- Add in the chocolate chips and fold it into the mixture until well combined
- leave it in the fridge for minimum 30 minutes
- I personally like to leave the mixture in the fridge for about a day or two
- Using a 1 tsp measuring spoon as well as a knife(honestly use whatever you want), portion out the dough into little balls
- Turn on the air fryer and adjust the temperature to be around 175℃ to 180℃
- Lay a piece of air fryer paper on a plate, and place 9 of the balls on the paper
- The remainder of the dough should be placed back into the fridge
- Put the dough in the air fryer, and set the timer for about 8 to 10 minutes
- Once the time is up, leave the cookies on a cooling rack, and repeat the process
- i recommend that for subsequent batches, do reduce the temperature of the air fryer to ensure that it does not get burnt
- Eat 😆
MY TWO CENTS:
this recipe was one of the first and only baked goods that i made in the air fryer. the first time i made it i burnt the first batch of cookies😵 however after subsequent batches, i managed to get the hang of it yipee👏. while baking it, your entire home will be filled with the scent of cookies, so you have been warned.
I find that this recipe is very versatile. you could add things like nuts🌰 or salt🧂 to the dough if you wanted to, I think that would be nice. However, I have not baked in like a year 💀 Baking ingredients, especially the good ones are becoming so expensive. When I bought the dark chocolate chips from phoon huat in 2023, I think it was around $4.50? But now it is $5.50 😩 well, that's all for today, bye bye 👋
